May is Celiac Disease Awareness Month!
Take the GF challenge and go gluten free. I say try it for a day! It's not as easy as you think but very do-able. You can even subscribe to the challenge and receive recipes.

Information Overload!
Didn't really want my first blog post ever to be about this, but it is.
I'm preparing to do a celiac presentation at the monkey girl's school on Tuesday. She's in a mixed 5/6 grade class. I've done all the fun stuff - drawn pictures, got free GF goodies and even ordered celiac awareness bracelets. I actually spent about 8 hours today writing up a fun flip chart with information and note cards to go along with the presentation. I want to be accurate with all the information. It's way too much information.
Reality just hit, celiac disease is not fun. In fact it can be a royal pain! It's now dinner time and all I want to do is order a sub. Monkey girl can't eat anything from a sub shop, not to mention our kitchen is gluten-free.
Ugh...
